The West African Examinations Council (WAEC), Nigeria, has officially announced the release of results for the Computer-Based West African Senior School Certificate Examination (CB-WASSCE) for Private Candidates, 2026 First Series. The examination was conducted across Nigeria from Wednesday, January 28 to Saturday, February 14, 2026. Following the examination, coordination and marking of scripts were carried out at three designated venues located in Lagos, Enugu, and Kaduna between Thursday, February 26 and Friday, March 13, 2026. According to WAEC, 10,523 candidates registered for the examination, representing an 11.49% increase compared to the 9,438 candidates recorded in 2025. Gender distribution among candidates showed that 5,106 were male, representing 48.72%, while 5,374 were female, accounting for 51.28% of the total candidates.
