The University of Nigeria hereby invites candidates who made UNN their first-choice institution in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and scored 160 and above for screening exercise. Other criteria for eligibility include:
Candidates should ensure that the names on their WAEC/NECO results are consistent and same with their names in JAMB.
Candidates waiting to write November/December 2026 GCE and NECO are not eligible to apply.
Candidates below the age of 16 years by 30th September, 2026 should not apply.

Online Registration
Eligible candidates are required to pay an application fee of N2000 (two thousand naira) and a processing fee of #3,300.00 (Three thousand, three hundred naira only) through the Remita Platform at any commercial bank.
The online registration commences on Wednesday July 15, 2026 and ends at midnight, Wednesday August 05, 2026.
Only candidates who must have uploaded their O’level results on JAMB CAPS and UNN portal on or before Wednesday, August 05, 2026 will be considered for admission.
Process Flow for Post-UTME Registration
Log on to the University Website: unn.edu.ng
Click on UNN portal (Top right corner of the Website)
Click Prospective Students
Select Online Application Form for 2026/2027 Admission Screening Exercise
Enter JAMB Registration Number
Generate Invoice.
Proceed to bank for Payment or pay using your ATM Card.
Return to Portal
Re-enter JAMB Registration Number
Complete Date of Birth and all other blank fields
Enter verified O/Level Subjects and Grades (also provide your Centre and Examination Number. Note: Awaiting Results candidates should list their SSCE subjects)
Re-enter your grades correctly
Upload Certificates (Ensure that their sizes are not above 100KB)
Birth Certificate (Candidates should ensure their date of birth is correct because there will be no provision for changes thereafter).

DIRECT ENTRY CANDIDATES FOR 2026/2027 WHO MADE UNN THEIR FIRST CHOICE INSTITUTION SHOULD ALSO REGISTER FOR THE SCREENING. Candidates must ensure that their A’Level (Direct Entry) result presented at the point of registration in the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has been verified by the Nigerian Integrated Post-Secondary Education Data System (NIPEDS).
Candidates are encouraged to visit the University website regularly for updates on the Screening exercise.
