What the notice says
The decision was reached at the 245th Meeting of the Senate held at the Zephaniah Madubuko Auditorium, following consideration of the report of the Senate Ad-Hoc Committee on Lecture Monitoring. Under the new directive, lectures scheduled outside the approved hours will be regarded as unauthorised. Lecturers responsible for such classes will be held liable and bear full responsibility for any mishap arising from lectures conducted outside the approved period. The Senate, however, stipulated that lectures or practical sessions that necessarily extend beyond 4:00 p.m. must receive written approval from both the Head of Department and the Dean of the Faculty.
