Applications are invited from qualified candidates for admission into the Pre-Degree Programme in Arts, Engineering, Science, and Social Sciences for the 2026/2027 academic session.
Program Overview: The Pre-Degree Programme at Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH) is a rigorous and comprehensive academic programme designed to prepare candidates for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and enhance their chances of gaining admission into the institution’s 100-Level degree programmes.
Eligibility Criteria: i. Five O-Level Credits: Applicants for admission into the Pre-Degree programmes are expected to have a minimum of five ‘O’ Level credits at one or two sittings, including English Language. Credit in Mathematics and three other science subjects for all Science-based courses; credit in Mathematics and three other social science subjects for all Social Science-based courses, and credit in four Arts subjects for all Arts-based courses. Students awaiting O-Level results can also apply.
ii. O-Level Credit Deficient Subjects: Candidates with credit in at least three (3) subjects in any of Mathematics, English Language, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Economics, Accounting, CRS/IRS, Government, Literature-in-English, and other relevant subjects in Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations can also apply. They are required to register for WAEC and/or NECO, and are expected to pass all the relevant deficient subjects before the end of the Pre-Degree programme.
iii. Online Application: The application process is online (https://predegree.lasustech.edu.ng).
iv. Qualifying Examination: Candidates who meet the admission requirements will be invited for a written qualifying examination.
v. Application Deadline: Check the official LASUSTECH website, in (iii) above, for the specific deadline for the current application cycle. Criteria for admission to the 100-Level into the University: Candidates must write the UTME of the current year (2027) and obtain the Minimum Tolerable Score (MTS) of the University in the UTME. Candidates must also comply with all admission criteria prescribed by the University. Duration of the programme The Pre-Degree is a nine-month remedial programme, running from October to July and split into two semesters.

2. Pay a non-refundable application fee of Fifteen Thousand naira (N15,000) only.
3. Submit a copy of the completed application form along with the required documents (O-Level result, birth certificate, NIN, etc.) to the Pre-Degree Programme Office, LASUSTECH, Ikorodu.
