Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission to the underlisted Sandwich Degree Programmes in Lagos State University, Ojo and Epe Campuses for the 2026/2027 Academic Session.
2.0 FACULTY OF EDUCATION
B.Sc. (Ed.), B.A. (Ed.) and B.Ed.: FOUR (4) - YEAR AND FIVE (5) - YEAR SANDWICH DEGREE PROGRAMMES IN THE FOLLOWING COURSES:
i. B.Sc. Science and Technology Education: Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science Education and Educational Technology.
ii. B.Sc. Human Kinetics, Sports and Health Education: Health Education, and Physical & Health Education.
iii. B.Sc. Educational Management: Business Education and Educational Management.
iv. B.Sc. Language Arts and Social Science Education: Economics, Political Science, Geography.
v. B.A. Language Arts and Social Science Education: Arabic, Christian Religious Studies, English, French, Islamic Religious Studies, History and Yoruba and Social Studies Education.
vi. B.Ed. Educational Foundation: Early Childhood and Primary Education, Guidance and Counselling Education and Special Education.
3.0 GENERAL ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must possess any of the following:
i. Five (5) O'Level credit passes relevant to the chosen course of study at not more than two (2) sittings, and two (2) 'A' Level passes in relevant subjects or an NCE with Merit in relevant areas;
ii. A University/Polytechnic two (2) year Diploma Certificate in the relevant field obtained at not less than Merit Level;
iii. A credit pass in English Language and Mathematics is compulsory for all courses.
3.1 SPECIFIC SUBJECT REQUIREMENTS
i. English Major: Credit passes in Literature-in-English, English Language, and any other relevant subjects from the Arts or Social Sciences at O'Level or its equivalent.
ii. Economics Major: Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any other relevant subjects from the Arts or Social Science at O' Level or its equivalent.
iii. Human Kinetics, Sports and Health Education: Credit passes in English, Biology or Agricultural Science, and any other relevant subjects from Science or Arts at O' Level or its equivalent.
iv. Political Science Major: At least a credit pass in English Language, Mathematics Government or History, and any other relevant subjects from the Arts or Social Science at O' Level or its equivalent.
v. Health Education: A credit pass in English Language, Biology or Agricultural Science, and any other relevant subjects at O' Level or its equivalent. Holders of Staff Registered Nurse and Midwifery Certificates, an Environmental Health Diploma from School of Health Technology, in addition to five (5) O' Level passes including English Language and Biology are also eligible.
vi. Mathematics and Science Major: Credit passes in Mathematics, English Language, Physics, and any other subject from Science at O' Level or its equivalent.
4.0 OTHER ACCEPTABLE QUALIFICATIONS
a. ICAN (Part II) and CTS (Part II) are acceptable qualifications for Economics.
b. Holders of certificates issued by recognised Arabic institutions who did not sit for Arabic at SSCE/GCE 'O' Level may be considered for admission, provided they satisfy all other entry requirements. NCE (Arabic) with Merit is also acceptable.
c. LASU accepts any other Arts or Social Science Subject in lieu of Yoruba Language.
d. Diploma in Health Education, Environmental Health, Physical Education, Social Work, Health Administration, Certificate in Coaching, or Advanced Diploma in Sports from the Nigerian Institute for Sports with at least overall grades Merit, in addition to five (5) O' Level passes including English Language, are, also acceptable for Human Kinetics Sports and Health Education.
5.0 DURATION OF PROGRAMMES
5.1 FOUR (4)-YEAR DEGREE PROGRAMME
The four (4)-year degree programme is designed for candidates with NCE or ND at Merit or Lower Credit grade and above.
5.2 FIVE (5)-YEAR DEGREE PROGRAMME
The five (5)-year degree programme is designed for candidates with WASC, SSCE, NABTEB and NCE qualifications who do not meet the entry requirements for the four (4)-year Sandwich Degree Programme.
6.0 METHOD OF APPLICATION
Application forms are obtainable from the Lagos State University website: www.lasu.edu.ng on payment of Ten Thousand Naira (N10,000.00) only, as candidates are required to submit a printed copy of their completed online application forms and appropriate 'O' Level scratch card(s) to the Directorate of Sandwich Degree Programme at either of the campuses.

7.0 CLOSING DATE
The closing date for the submission of applications is ten (10) weeks from the date of this publication.
8.0 PLEASE NOTE: Entrance Examination and Interview will take place on Saturday, 12th September 2026, at the 3-in-1 Lecture Theatre (Hall 1 and 2) at 9.00a.m.
Candidates are advised to come along with their writing materials as well as the originals and photocopies of all their credentials.
