What the notice says
JAMB has announced the release of the 2026 UTME results for underage candidates. JAMB explained that an underage candidate is any applicant who will be below 16 years of age by September 30, 2026. The board clarified that accessing the results does not automatically make the candidates eligible for admission into tertiary institutions. According to the board, the release of the results was primarily to enable the affected candidates, as well as their parents and guardians, to know their UTME performance. JAMB said only underage candidates who demonstrate exceptional academic ability and maturity would be considered for admission, subject to several stages of assessment and verification.
