The Public Relations Unit of Imo State University, Owerri (IMSU) hereby clarifies that a soft copy of the official press release issued this morning, 10 August 2026, titled “NOTICE TO STUDENTS: 2025/2026 SECOND SEMESTER EXAMINATIONS HAVE COMMENCED” has been altered. The doctored version now carries the false title “NOTICE TO STUDENTS: 2025/2026 INDEFINITE INDUSTRIAL STRIKE ACTION.” The fraudulent notice contains incorrect claims that all academic activities have been suspended for five months.
