What the notice says
In line with the recent directive issued by the Students' Affairs Division, all students are hereby reminded that the use of electric cookers and hot plates in the hostels is strictly prohibited. Students are therefore advised to desist from using or keeping such appliances in their hostel rooms. Students are further reminded that the Student Handbook, Chapter 9, Regulations Governing Hostel Accommodation, provides sanctions for hostel-related offences. Specifically: Use of unauthorized electrical appliances that may cause damage to electrical facilities attracts repair/replacement of the facility or rustication for two (2) semesters.
